A look at vocabulate.vercel.app — the web app that will skyrocket your writing productivity

Nearly everyone writes.

And that’s why we have tools like Grammarly — magical helping hands to guide us in writing the best piece possible.

Because whether you’re looking to ace that English essay or get a positive response from an email you sent, every element of your writing is a determiner.

This week, I wanted to create a magical helping hand I wish I always had, leveraging OpenAI’s GPT-3. After releasing the website, it turns out a ton of my friends have the same problem I was striving to solve, and they now use my tool every day. But what specific element of writing was I aiming to enhance?

Vocabulary.

Because there are hundreds of thousands of words in English, and most of us only know a few thousand.

And on top of that, we sometimes blank at the “perfect word” when we’re writing the piece that needs it. The word would be on the tip of your tongue but you just can’t figure out what it actually is.

Luckily, you could probably still describe the word. That’s exactly where my app — Vocabulate — comes in.
